Our Story

Blok & Vine started with a simple idea — to create a place where great food, great wine and genuine hospitality come together.

After many years working in the hospitality industry, we wanted to create somewhere of our own. A place that reflected everything we love about welcoming people through the door, creating memorable experiences and bringing friends and family together around the table.

From the very beginning, our vision was to showcase the very best of Yorkshire. Today, our locally inspired cheese and charcuterie sharing boards, thoughtfully paired with carefully selected wines, have become the heart of what we do. Alongside them, you'll find expertly roasted coffee, freshly prepared lunches and a menu built around exceptional local produce.

Behind every board, every glass and every dish are the passionate producers who make it all possible. We’re proud to work with local cheesemakers, butchers, bakers, brewers, vineyards and artisan suppliers who share our commitment to quality, provenance and craftsmanship.

Opening an independent business has been an incredible journey, filled with challenges, learning and unforgettable moments. The greatest reward, however, has been becoming part of the Beverley community and welcoming so many familiar faces back through our doors.

Blok & Vine is more than a café or wine bar — it's a place to relax, share great food and wine, and celebrate the very best of Yorkshire. We're incredibly proud of what we've built and excited for everything that's still to come.
